Wayward (2025) is a Netflix thriller miniseries created by and starring Mae Martin, set in 2003 in the small town of Tall Pines, Vermont. The plot follows a new police officer (Martin) investigating a "troubled teen" academy, run by a menacing headmaster (Toni Collette), that uses cult-like, drug-induced methods to "fix" youth, uncovering dark, generational trauma.
